Analysis and evaluation of urban quality of life using multi-criteria decision making techniques(Case study: Gorgan city areas)

 The rapid growth of urbanization in recent decades and the disregard for the dimensions of human quality of life, has had adverse consequences on the level of individual and social health of cities. It has also caused an unfavorable cycle of socio-economic and environmental imbalances and a general decline in the quality of urban life. Quality of life is a key element of attractive and competitive cities and regions because it represents the factor of attracting and retaining people, new companies as well as resident populations. Therefore, the need to measure the quality of life has become increasingly important. The present research is documentary in terms of applied purpose and in terms of descriptive-analytical method and data collection method. The results show that the indicators of quality of urban life in the eight districts of Gorgan are not normal and balanced. Areas of Gorgan are at different levels, of which out of 8 urban areas, district one with priority coefficient (0.657) in the first place, district two with priority coefficient (0.574) in the second place, district eight with coefficient Priority (0.428) in the third order, District 4 with priority coefficient (0.411) in the fourth rank, District five with priority coefficient (0.397) in the fifth rank, District six with priority coefficient (0.378) in the rank Sixth, District 7 with priority coefficient (0.358) in the seventh rank and District Three with priority coefficient (0.315) in the eighth rank and the most deprived district of Gorgan, which indicates the poor condition of Gorgan in terms of enjoyment One of the objective indicators is the quality of life.
