Examination of economic and social factors related to teachers’ job satisfaction in Bostanabad

Abstract:

This research aimed to investigate the level of job satisfaction among the teachers and determines the related economic and social factors. The research method is survey and the instrument is closed questionnaire. The statistical population of the research was 420 teachers of Bostanabad province in 2014, which 20 teachers were selected using Cochran formula by cluster random sampling as a final sample. The data were analyzed by SPSS. To test the hypotheses t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and analysis of variance and regression were used.The result showed that in total, the teachers' jobs satisfaction is medium. Also, there is a significant correlation among variables of feelings of deprivation, alienation from work, job security and job satisfaction. Regression analysis results show that, modified coefficient of 39% depicts the variables of job security. Alienation from work and feelings of deprivation could explain 0.93 of the job satisfaction dependent variable changes.
