Knowledge management in the sense in which it is inferred today has a history of about fifty years in the world and the presence of this concept in the Iranian scientific literature is about two decades. The decree on knowledge management in government agencies, along with the relevant executive instructions, has also been recently announced. However, streamlining knowledge management in the executive apparatus requires careful consideration of scientific frameworks. This article proposes a framework for action with the aim of explaining the executive and operational components of knowledge management in the public sector with regard to the considerations of the guidelines as well as the conditions of government agencies. By implementing this framework and the proposed measures in the framework of the eight processes of knowledge management, senior managers of government agencies will perform better in implementing knowledge management.
