Abstract:

Praise has been one of the first topics that Persian poets have tested their nature and admired kings, princes and powerful people. In the meantime, the social origin of this type of poetry and the reasons for the poet's attention to this type of liter ature are of special importance. In this article, by e xamining O nsory P oetry as the most prominent poet of the Ghaznavid era, we seek to search for the social contexts of praise poetry. Our research method is descriptive-analytical. To this end, after providing an introductory presentation of both the history of praise and praise poetry, its features and themes, we have dealt with the issue of why and under what conditions poets have written praise poetry. Who were their supporters and what was the purpose of their supporters? What are the conditions of society that have led to the creation of such works Finally, given the political and social environment that governs society, we find that admirers are known as preachers of government.
