Abstract:
Comparison of sense of coherence, concern and self-efficacy in cancer patients and normal people in AhvazThe purpose of this study was to determine the sense of coherence, concern and self-efficacy in cancer patients and normal people in Ahwaz city. The statistical population of this study included all cancer patients and normal people in Ahvaz city who referred to health centers. Of these, 80 were selected by available sampling method. The research project was causal-comparative. The instruments used in the Sense of Coherence Questionnaire (Aaron Antonovsky, 1987), the Pennsylvania State Scale (Maeir et al., 1990) and the general self-efficacy beliefs questionnaire (Schweurzer and Grosselm, 1995). Data analysis was performed by using one-variable and multivariate analysis of variance analysis. Findings showed that there is a significant relationship between sense of coherence, concern and self-efficacy between cancer patients and normal people.
