Geotourism is relatively a new form of sustainable tourism and has been developing rapidly over the past two decades. Tourism land is a new concept in recognizing the aesthetic value and the nature of the economic heritage of geology, which is presented by researchers and in a range of definitions. Some have concealed it from geographical, social, economic, and cultural concepts, and they are considered as a subset of geographic tourism, which is scientifically the concept of geoparks.

Objectives

The city of Mahneshan is a typical example of the diversity and complexity of processes and events occurring in the province and due to its diverse and attractive ecotourism and geotourism capabilities, as well as its historical and ancient features, it has the potential and potential to become a geopark of inter- International. Therefore, our aim is to evaluate the capabilities and capabilities of our city to create a geopark.

method

the present research is a practical and, in terms of its nature, the dominant approach to analytic descriptive space. Data gathering in this research is based on library and field method, using Comansko models and GIS software for drawing maps. In the present research, the questionnaires are based on the Comanescu model.

Result

In the overall assessment of the data obtained from the mean sum (total value) ‌ for each of the geosites based on the five Comanescu values, it was concluded that the scientific value score in the geocytes was different, the highest and lowest The highest score is for the castle of Behestan and Anguran mines.

conclusion

According to the evaluations obtained from the geosites, the scientific and aesthetic value indices have the highest scores indicating the potential of geosites in these two fields. In the final ranking for each of the geosites, castle of Behestan and Madabad were ranked first to second, respectively. In addition to their high abilities, factors such as having a fairly accessible access point Having landscapes, the Ghezel uzan River near the castle of Behestan, and more advertising by the tourism organizations are involved in these rankings.
