Analysis of Factors Affecting Economic Diversity in Border Villages of Western Iran
The methodology of this study is functional in purpose aspect and including descriptive – analytical method. The villager’s residents of Marivan are the statistical population of this research. ". Villages located within 10 km of the international border in Iraq, due to affected of the border, and occupation them into smuggling, was considered as sample. According to calculation in the Cochran formula, and accuracy by a factor of 0.18 from the between 46 villages, 18 villages were selected. The number of samples was calculated by using Cochran formula 334. The number of questionnaires was distributed among the households in the sample villages. The factors influencing the diversification of economic activities were classified into four categories: economic, social, natural and borderline. The average rating for the above factors was 2.11, 2.7, 3.23 and 2.79, respectively.Conclusion Social, economic, environmental and borderline factors have affected the diversification of economic activities of the region. Among them, environmental power and border position are more than other factors (economic and social factors) in the diversification of the economical region of the region.
