Functions of Critical Thinking in Strategic Management (Strategic Thinking)
Strategic management and critical thinking are two broad and important phenomena for contemporary society. Their implications are both well discussed in the literature. However, the conceptual links between them have not been analyzed and the role of critical thinking functions in the process of effective management or strategic thinking has not been revealed. This article seeks to fill this gap by providing conceptual connections between strategic thinking and critical thinking. In order to find studies and documents related to the present article in Google Scholar database and internal databases of Jihad Daneshgahi, Magiran and Civilica, a search was performed using the keywords. In order to reveal the internal structure of each concept and identify conceptual relationships, a critical study was conducted. The main purpose of this article is to prove the effect of critical thinking on management or strategic thinking. The results showed that many factors can be expressed as a prerequisite for management or strategic thinking, but in the present study, the author considers strategic thinking as one of the most important prerequisites for critical thinking. This research can be considered as a basis for further analysis of the relationship between these two phenomena. Increasing awareness of the functions of critical thinking in management or strategic thinking can create new orientations in organizational strategies
