Study of soft power tools (Emphasizing the role of print media and news sites)
In today's world, the importance of traditional and electronic media in increasing soft power is not hidden from anyone. The present study seeks to examine the role of print media and news sites in promoting the soft power of a country. In this regard, the main question is what effect do print media and news sites have on a country's soft power? In response to this question, the central hypothesis has been raised that print media and news sites increase soft power by influencing the mental and psychological structure of the audience, directing public opinion and mobilizing resources. The above hypothesis is tested in this research using descriptive-analytical method and library tools. On the other hand, in order to theoretically support the issue, the theories of Habermas, Klaus Ofe and Gramsci media hegemony have been used. Findings indicate that soft power in the system of effort with regard to print media and news sites as one of the important strategies and policies to achieve the goals of political systems can be. Finally, the soft power of Iran and the role of the media in this regard will be considered.
