Abstract:

The main purpose of this article is to compare the communication patterns in the family in juvenile delinquents and normal peers. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive nature is causal-comparative and data collection method is field type. The study population in the present study is all juvenile delinquents arrested by the police of Marand city, the number of this group is 60 people. Their counterparts have been compared. Sampling method is available and the tool used in this research is a questionnaire. This study used the standard questionnaire of the Koerner and Fitzpatrick (2000) family communication model. Data were analyzed in two parts: descriptive statistics (demographic information, tables and graphs) and inferential statistics (covariance test). The results showed that family communication patterns in delinquent adolescents and normal counterparts are different. Findings showed that family functioning and communication patterns had a significant effect on juvenile delinquency.
