Representing Ethnic Identity of Turkish Speakers in Sahand Provincial Network Programs (With an emphasis on understanding its consequences in the context of social order)
Provincial networks play a valuable role as a protective frameworkin fostering indigenous and local culture and enhancing a sense of social security in the community so that preserving the provincial literature, history, language, rich localculture and presenting a realimage to the younger generation are the basic tasks of provincial networks that can play an important role in enhancing adherence to social order. In this regard, the present study, using a mixed method, studies the role of Sahand Provincial Network programs on the ethnic identity of Turkish-speaking audiences in Tabriz. The findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between the use of Sahand Provincial Network Programs and the actual content of their programs with the ethnic identity of the audience, while there is a significant relationship between audience motivation and intention to use Sahand provincial network programs with the ethnic identity of the audience. Also, according to therespondents, it was found that most Sahand network programs pay less attention to Turkish culture, language, and customs, while they think thatconsidering the Turkish cultural, language, and customs more important than ever.In addition, according to the respondents, Sahand network programs did not have significant success in introducing Turkish music, language, literature, culture and ethnic history, due to factors such as the lack of funny and variable programs and the incompatibility of these programs with audience needs.This has driven the audiences away from the Sahand provincial network programs and pushed them towards Turkish satellite networking programs.
