Abstract:
Aim

The present study aimed to predict psychological wellbeing based on ego strength and social interest of students at the Islamic Azad University of Roudehen.

Method

The research method was descriptive-correlation and the statistical population included all students of Islamic Azad University, Roudehen branch during the academic year 2018-2019. According to Tabachnick and Fidell Formula, 200 students were selected by multistage random sampling method. Participants were asked to complete three inventories including, Riff psychological well-being, Ego Strength (PIES) and the social interest scale (Crandall), Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data.

Results

Findings showed that among two variables predicting ego strength and social interest, only ego strength variable has a significantly positive correlation with psychological well-being variable.

Conclusion

Therefore, the existence of a Strong ego can be effective in students' psychological well-being.
