Prediction of Delinquency Preparation Based on Identity Styles, Parenting Styles, parent and Peer Attachment.
The purpose of present study was predicting delinquency preparation based of identity styles, parenting styles and attachment on parent and peer.
This research was descriptive correlation (prediction) study. 210 students were selected by convenience sampling from all male students in uremia who responded identity styles inventory, parental styles inventory, attachment inventory and delinquency readiness inventory. For data analysis, person correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis (simultaneous) were used.
Data analysis showed that delinquency preparation with diffuse-orientation identity style, permissive parenting and relation with peers were positively related and with informational style, commitment, authoritarian parenting and relation with parent had a significant negative relationship. Regression analysis showed that identity styles, parenting styles and attachment could account for %27 of variance in delinquency preparation.
The result noted that identity styles, parenting styles and attachment have an important role predicting delinquency preparation, so we could expect that by teaching these skills to teenager and their parents the problem would be prevented.
