Study of relationship between the use of Modern media (mobile and Internet) and social security (Case study: 15-29 years people of Tabriz)
In The current era increased use of the communicating tool such as cell phones and internet is one the factors that can endanger social security nowadays. The current study also tries to concentrate on evaluating the relationship between the rate of mobile usage and internet and social security between citizens of Tabriz. In this study, it was tried to identify contexts and the affecting factors of cell phone and internet on social security in its four dimensions: job, emotional, physical and financial security. The method of research was survey and measurement tool was closed questionnaire. The population involved all the citizens of Tabriz aged 15-29. They were equal to 443687 people according to annual census in 2012 that 330 them were selected by Cochran formula and through stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed through Pearson coefficient, t test and multivariate regression. In sum, results showed that the status of social security among citizens of Tabriz aged 15-29 is moderate; also based on multivariate regression analysis, the effects of variables including dependence on media, virtual sociability, the kind of social identity and parents control on social security were significant and these variables were able to explain 30 percent of the Variance of the dependent variable.
