Comparison of domestic violence in women referring to counseling centers and ordinary women in Bushehr

The main purpose of this study is to compare domestic violence in women referring to counseling centers and ordinary women in Bushehr. The present study is comparative (post-event). The statistical population of this study included all women referring to family counseling centers in Bushehr and ordinary women (working in offices, women referring to offices and companies, available housewives, women with self-employment).

The sample of this study was 100 normal women through available sampling and 100 women referring to family counseling centers who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. The research tool is Balali (2007) Domestic Violence Questionnaire. Independent t-test was used to analyze the data.

The results showed that there is a significant difference between the rate of domestic violence in women referring to counseling centers with normal women. There is also a significant difference between physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence and economic violence in women referring to counseling centers with normal women
