Geographical analysis of drug-related crime centers in Ahvaz

Criminal acts are located in crime hotspots, which is a place with a high rate of crime. The occurrence of crime in one place produces an apparent map that shows the spatial distribution of crime. Therefore, the main purpose of this study was to study the geographical centers of drug-related crimes in terms of causes and spatial distribution.

The statistical population of the study is the case of prisoners of Sepidar prison in Ahvaz who committed a total of 300 drug-related crimes in 2015. Geographic information system models and tools were used to analyze the data and generate a map of drug crimes in Ahvaz.

The highest incidence of drug-related crimes is in the central, western and southwestern areas and in the last areas of Asphalt, Khashayar, Hasirabad, Ein Do, Kemplo and Goldasht.

The results showed that the main centers of drug crimes in Hasirabad, water source, 20 meters and Asiabad from region 7, Khashayar and Kemplo, Lashkar and Sholangabad from region 6, the end of asphalt from region 1 with cluster pattern They are distributed. Glass, opium and heroin had the highest rates of drug crimes. The average center of total crimes corresponds to the city center and the ellipse is the standard deviation of all drug-related crimes with scattering and spread in the central part and stretching to the northeast, west and southwest.
