A Sociological Study of Impact Socio - Cultural Factors on Social Security
Security is one of the most important and considerable phenomenon that is said to be the basic and essential needs of person and society. Social security is the basis of life and lack of security can be the source of many anomies and problems. In the other words, the public dissatisfaction and the other social anomies are related with social security. The main goal of this study is determining the relationship between social factors (cultural and religious participation, feeling powerlessness, informal control, and the demographic factors) and social security. To do that, we used Weber, Giddens, Koen, and Merton Theories. The research method is survey and the measurement tool is questionnaire. The population in this study is the students of Azad University of Tabriz (2008- 2009).According to the university statistic center they were 18743 from which we used 376 students as ample ones through Cochran formula and Stratified sampling .after collecting the questionnaires we analyzed the data by SPSS software. In order to test the hypotheses according to the variables measurement level we used T tests, Pierson consistency coefficient and regression analysis. Based on the research results, the average of social security in boys is more than girls. In addition to that, the results of multi regression show that the gender variable, informal control and feeling powerless were also effective in social security.
