Sociological analysis of youth security factors (case study of Borazjan city)
The present study aims to investigate the variables affecting the sense of security in Borazjan city. The concept of security is one of the components of quality of life in cities and social harms are one of the most important consequences of insecurity. Today, due to the prevalence of social insecurity in cities, it has become necessary to study the issue of social security and related factors.
The statistical population of the study is all people aged 15 to 30 years in Borazjan city. The sample size was 390 people based on Cochran's sampling formula and the relevant data were obtained using multi-stage cluster sampling method in the form of 5 neighborhoods of Borazjan city. Data were analyzed using SPSS16 software. In order to investigate the hypotheses, Pearson correlation coefficient test and regression analysis were used.
The results of this research indicate that people's sense of security is low. Also, trust in the police, the idea of police surveillance, the idea of crime and the direct experience of crime have had a significant effect on the sense of social security. In a way, these 4 variables have the greatest effect on the dependent variable according to β coefficients. . Keywords: Social security feeling, security, social capital, police, crime experience.
