Effectiveness of interpersonal skills traning in self-control increasing among the clients referd to the police advisory center of Bushehr
In this research, we seek to empower individuals who are injured or vulnerable to harm to the counseling centers by interpersonal skills and skills, in order to be able, in addition to making a proper decision on personal performance And their social status can enjoy a degree of restraint and self-control, and can identify their negative and destructive emotions and provide their growth and excellence.
The present research is a combination of document-based and survey methods, that is, descriptive, The research method is semi-experimental using a pre-test and post-test design. Sampling method is available using sampling. The statistical population of this study is all the clients referred to the police force counseling center. In this research, random sampling is used to place people in the experimental and control group. Each group was 15 people. Interpersonal skills training was conducted for 10 sessions of 90 minutes.
The results showed that after modifying the pre-test, there is a significant relationship between self-control skills training between individuals. Eta coefficients show that 31.1% of self-control variance is explained by interpersonal skills training. The effect of interpersonal skills training on self-control was significant. Eta coefficient shows that 34.8% of self-control variance is explained by interpersonal skills training.
