Feasibility of the integrated planning and management system for the regeneration of historical textures: A case study on Tabriz Metropolis

Nowadays, the historical texture of cities, despite their brilliant history, face complex and numerous problems caused by the ignorance of the contemporary city and their complex problems cover the entire city. In this regard, to enhance the historical textures in recent decades, several approaches have been proposed, among which, regeneration requires an integrated planning and management model. Considering the importance of the historical context of cities from the perspective of planning and management, the present study tries to assess the feasibility of an integrated planning and management system for the regeneration of historical textures in Tabriz Metropolis. The present applied research is descriptive-analytical in nature. To analyze the data, Q factor analysis model and one-sample t-test are used. The results show that the integrated planning and management system for the regeneration of historical textures in the metropolis of Tabriz have fundamental shortcomings in various aspects of management structure (decision-making and functional divisions), organizational capacity and participation (lack of participation of people and private institutions). In this regard, there are three models affecting the feasibility of integrated management of regeneration, including unit and system management, neo-institutionalism and participation and diversity, the values of which have been obtained through the Q factor analysis model to be respectively 3.843, 2.651 and 1.798
