Morphosyntax: Text Assessment or Description TooL

The language tool and sentence construction techniques resting upon the morphosyntactic rules are among the key elements in the text comprehension process. The proponents of traditional studies in this regard demand the minimum capabilities of morphosyntax, while the adherents of modern studies either abandon it entirely and overlook its significations, or just assign it a very trivial role in the text comprehension process! This study posits that morphosyntax is, by its very nature, intermixed with assessment and analysis; thus, reducing this potential and limiting it to determination of diacritic marks or improvement of language skills means depriving the audience of the main function of this language tool! A change in this epistemological approach will lead to a fundamental change in our educational resources, teaching methods, and evaluations and expectations of this material. Morphosyntax is an interconnected network with "meaning", "signified", "position" and "text" as its pillars.
