Investigation of the Effect of Carboxylate Based Plasticizer on the Behavior of Concrete Made with Recycled Stone Materials from Self-consolidating concrete
In this paper, the effect of adding superplasticizers on the mechanical properties of concrete including compressive strength, slip, etc. has been investigated. Based on the results of changes in compressive strength against the percentage of polycarboxylate lubricant in concrete samples with different grades of cement, it has been observed that with increasing the percentage of polycarboxylate plasticizer, the amount of compressive strength has increased due to decreasing water to cement ratio. Also, increasing the grade of cement leads to increasing the compressive strength of the samples. Based on the results of changes in compressive strength against water to cement ratio in concrete samples with different grades of cement and polycarboxylate plasticizer has been observed that with increasing water to cement ratio, the amount of compressive strength has decreased. Also, based on the results of comparing the changes of slump against the percentage of polycarboxylate plasticizer in concretes with different grades of cement, it has been observed that with increasing the percentage of polycarboxylate plasticizer, the slump parameter has generally had an upward trend. Also, by increasing the grade of cement in concrete in the percentage of fixed polycarboxylate plasticizer, concrete with higher grade had less slump. Finally, based on the results of comparing the changes of slump against water to cement ratio in concretes with different grades of cement with polycarboxylate plasticizer, it has been observed that with increasing water to cement ratio, the slump parameter has generally decreased. Also, by increasing the grade of cement in concrete in the ratio of water to fixed cement, concrete with lower grade had more slump.
