Vulnerability of high Pressure GAS Lines (Study in Esfarayen City & this Project is protected byNorth Khorasan Gas Company)
One of the most important methods of gas transportatibhon is the use of pipelines. Since gas supply pipelines are sometimes deployed around residential areas and may cause personal and financial damage in the event of leakage or rupture, the safety of residents in the areas surrounding high-voltage and high-pressure pipelines is important. This is one of the most important concerns of the gas transportation industry. The most important consequences of accidents in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries dealing with a wide range of pollutants and hazardous chemicals are environmental pollution and irreparable environmental degradation. It is noteworthy that despite technological advances in societies, many of the environmental, human and economic costs are often irreparable, so the purpose of this study is to identify the pathology of gas supply lines. In this way, effective criteria were first identified. These criteria were identified through library studies, interviews with experts, and prior studies. These criteria are dem, slope, distance from fault, distance from rivers and distance from earthquake foci. Then, the importance or weight of the criteria was determined by the hierarchical analysis process. Shannon method was used in this study. The slope criterion of 0.34 has the greatest impact on the vulnerability of gas lines. After that, the measure of distance from fault is 0.31. Then the distance from rivers is 0.22 and then the distance from earthquake is 0.11. The least impact on the vulnerability of the gas lines is the dem criterion with weight of 0.02. Criteria maps after standardization were integrated using the weighted linear combination in the environment GIS and the gas pipeline vulnerability map was identified at Esfarain city and finally the locations of the pipes with the highest vulnerability as well as safe areas were identified. The results showed that in the areas northeast of Esfarain, gas lines are at highest risk and the safest gas lines are in the central part of the city.
