The Method of Discovering the Nature of Islamic Economics

There are two fundamental questions concerning Islamic economics that have received diverse responses from Islamic economists without reaching to a consensus upon them. These two questions are: 1) What is Islamic Economics? 2) What is the method of discovering it? Undoubtedly, the answer to the second question depends on the answer to the first question. The present paper tries to present a common and simple method for answering the first question that will automatically pave the way for providing an answer for the second question. This method is the method of induction and classification of religious texts relating economic issues. I hope this method will help Muslim scholars to reach a consensus on this issue.
