Redefining the role of parents in e-learning: elementary school

purpose of this study is to redefine the role of parents in e-learning. The method of the present research is qualitative and of the data type of the foundation. Library and field methods were used to collect data. The research population consisted of the parents of students in one of the primary schools in Delijan city, Markazi province, who were selected by purposive non-random sampling method of 15 people. After reaching the theoretical saturation of the data, the process of their analysis was done in three stages of open and axial coding and selective to redefine the role of parents in virtual education. Data validity was ensured through triangulation, confirmation of interview content by the parents themselves, compliance with appropriate requirements with the emergence of the theory of the role of parents in virtual education and data reliability with the participation of experts in data analysis and using a structured process for writing data. Finallythe model of the main role of parents in e-learning was identified with the main categories of provider, facilitator, guide and nurturer. The model can be used as a basis for curriculum design in the education system for efficient and effective management of learning in thefuture
