The world of philosophy in its spectacular history have granted a number of influential and eternal figures to human societies Plato or Plotinus is one of the most prominent and pioneer figure among them. Ever since, his thoughts and ideas have been a considerable source of inspiration and influence for the philosophical thinking such that even the christen philosophy was born and brought up under its influences. Muslim philosophers, including the Peripatetic, Illuminationist and Transcendental philosophers also benefited from his views and visions This paper is aimed at explaining his views on metaphysics and tracing the relation between philosophy and religion from his viewpoint
