Assessing the desired and existing status of the target element to explain the requirements for the implementation of online education and learning plan in technical and vocational training centers in Qazvin province

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the requirements for implementing an online education and learning plan in technical and vocational education centers in Qazvin province while explaining one of the elements of the curriculum (purpose). This research was applied and descriptive-survey method and due to the use of qualitative and quantitative methods and tools, is among the combined research. Accordingly, the research was conducted in two separate sections and methods. In the qualitative section, 20 knowledgeable professors and instructors were purposefully selected and interviewed in order to determine the optimal status of the curriculum elements for the implementation of the online education plan and to propose the optimal curriculum. In the quantitative part of the research, the statistical population consists of two groups. The first group includes teachers and trainers and the second group includes interns of technical and professional centers of the province. These individuals were selected by simple random sampling method and a questionnaire was distributed among them. From the respondents' point of view, the curriculum in the desired condition should have features that are presented about the target element in six categories. The results of the quantitative section also showed that there is a difference between the views of teachers and trainees on the compatibility of curriculum elements in the current situation with the desired situation.
