The Impact of the Socio-economic Conditions on Creating Drug Addiction, Considering Iran’s 20-Year Outlook Plan

The present study intends to identify the impact of the roles of social and economic conditions on drug addiction. The population of the study is the total addicted and non-addicted people of Boushehr, but due to the large number of the people under study a simple random sampling was done through which 50 addicted and 50 non-addicted people (100 totally) were selected. The data about the people’s social and economic conditions were collected via questionnaires made by the researcher. In analyzing the data the researcher employed T test for the two independent groups. The results show that the social and economic conditions can play a major role in drug addiction; also if the bad economic conditions continue they can cause serious threats to the society in future.
