Abstract:

The care and attention of the kings of the eighth and ninth centuries to the elders and great elders and their reverence, as well as the expression of devotion and great affection of the Timurid kings and princes to the monks and nobles of Sufism, was one of the most important reasons for the spread of mysticism and Sufism in these periods. In the ninth century, we see the emergence of mystical poets who have dealt with spiritual conduct in their works and have made direct references to the need for guidance; And since no behavior can be achieved without guidance, Jami, as one of the greatest mystic poets of the ninth century in his collection of poems, is one of the guides and leaders of the path with various titles such as "Pir", "Murshid", " Sheikh has mentioned "Saqi", "Murad", "Rand" and "Qutb" etc. and has considered their existence as an immediate principle. The purpose of this research is to critique and explain the importance of the position of Pir, Sheikh and Murshid in the poetry collection of Maulana Abdul Rahman Jami. Considering the frequent use of the mentioned words in Jami's poetry collection, the present article takes a look at Jami's view on the elders and elders of the ninth century and their critique. Jami's positive view of the elders, whom he considers to be perfect human beings, has made the word "old" more frequent in his poetry collection than other synonymous words.
