: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of social-emotional learning program on assertiveness, quality of life and self-efficacy.
This was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all male students of Hamadan Azad University. The samples were randomly selected and then randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. 150 questionnaires were distributed among the students Those who got a score of -90 in the assertiveness test and a score of 50 or less in the quality of life test and a score between 17 and 34 in the self-efficacy test were selected by 30 people and randomly divided into experimental and control groups Each group (15 people) were divided. The experimental group was trained in social-emotional learning for 10 sessions, but the intervention was not performed for the control group. The research tools of the social learning program were Sadri Demirci et al. (2010), Ratus (1984) Expression Questionnaire, Weir and Sherborn's Quality of Life (1992) and the self- efficacy of Scherer and Maddox et al. (1982). Multivariate and univariate analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data and test the research hypotheses.
The results showed social-emotional learning program was effective in increasing quality of life and assertiveness, but this program did not have a significant effect on increasing self-efficacy.
Therefore, to increase and improve the quality of life and self-efficacy of students, a social emotional learning program can be used.
