Investigating the effect of modernity on Iranian tombs (Case study of the tombs of Nader Shah, Kamal al-Mulk, Ibn Sina, Khayyam, Hafez, Ferdowsi, Pahlavi I and Saadi)
After the Industrial Revolution in Europe, a new style of Western art and architecture called modernity became widespread. This method in Iran in the first Pahlavi period was often reflected in the architecture of office, government and residential buildings. The prevailing ideology in the second Pahlavi period was to return to the ancient self and revive the ancient Iranian culture. With the dominance of the modern movement in Iranian architecture, new examples of architecture emerged. For example, we see the design of tombs for elders and artists that had been stopped in Iran for almost thirteen centuries. The authors examine the design idea of these tombs and the relationship between modern style imported to Iran and the personal and temporal characteristics of the deceased, which include the tombs of Ferdowsi, Nader Shah, Kamal al-Mulk, Ibn Sina and Khayyam
