Investigating the relationship between academic vitality and academic resilience with the mediating role of academic stress in junior high school students in Damghan
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between academic vitality and academic resilience with the mediating role of academic stress in junior high school students in Damghan. The research method is correlation with the structural equation modeling approach. The statistical population of the present study consists of all primary school students in Damghan, whose number is 3954 people. The sample size was randomly selected using 351 Morgan table. The research instruments are Hossein Chari and Dehghanizadeh (2012) Academic Vitality Questionnaire, Zajakova et al. (2005) and Samuels Academic Resilience Questionnaire (2004). The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 20 and Smart Pls software by structural equation modeling. According to the results, the mediating variable of academic stress in the relationship between academic vitality and academic resilience is significant and more than 54% of the effect of academic vitality with academic resilience is indirectly explained by the mediating variable of reducing student academic stress. . Also, academic vitality has a negative and significant effect on academic stress. Academic vitality has a positive and significant effect on academic resilience. Academic stress has a negative and significant effect on academic resilience.
