A Study of the Characteristics of Socrates as an Inspiring Teacher

It is worthwhile to look at the character of Socrates from the point of view of the teacher because this great teacher stands against the greed of the sophists and Puts education in the right direction and educates disciples like Plato. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to obtain Socrates' characteristics as a teacher and to explain these characteristics. To achieve this goal, Thematic analysis method was used. The result of the present study is the achievement of twenty-five main themes, which in the first stage are classified into four themes that organize scientific characteristics, moral characteristics, social characteristics, and educational characteristics. The next step is to categorize these themes in the form of two comprehensive themes of individual-societal behavior and scientific-educational behavior. These features are also explained and are mentioned at the end in the table and network of Thematic.
