Identification of components and indicators of the management model in the public universities of Iran (top universities)

The purpose of this study is to identify the components and indicators of the management model in the public universities of Iran (top universities) in 2018.

The research method is a combinational (qualitative-quantitative) framework. In the qualitative section, the statistical population, was the managers and higher education experts, and in the quantitative section were deans and assistants of universities of the top universities in Iran. In the qualitative section, 39 people were selected by snowball method and in the quantitative section, 222 people were selected through the stratified random sampling. In the qualitative part, the data was collected through analysis of theoretical foundations and interviews with managers and experts using the Delphi method, and in the quantitative part the researcher-made questionnaire was used with a reliability coefficient of 0.89. The data was analyzed in SPSS software.

By reviewing the results, the management model was classified into 7 categories with 38 indicators, which included quality assessment, policy-making, management and leadership models, financial mechanisms.Keywords:
