The effect of using metaphors and decorations in educational posters on increasing the rate of learning and consolidation of foreign language in memory

One approach that has changed researchers' perceptions of language teaching and use in recent decades is the foundation body approach. According to Barberi and Eckart (2007), "body linguistics is an approach to the study of language that examines patterns of language use using a set of computer textual principles" (p. 321). Due to the lack of systematic and coherent research studies in this field, the present study examines the metaphor of foreign language learning. For this purpose, after selecting 90 male and female language learners in several language schools, they were first tested for homogenization in terms of language skills and classified into two levels of intermediate and advanced skills, the Oxford level test. The researcher then randomly selected several sentences using the terms used by the researcher through the Internet Frequency Logger (COCA). The control group was given a list of terms and their meanings and the experimental group was given the same terms but with the sentences in which the term was used. After two weeks, metaphorical tests were taken from both groups. The collected data were inferentially analyzed using independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance.
