Distinction Between The Inter-Group And Intera-Group Efficiency Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)
A Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Model is developed and applied as a tool for the ex-post-facto performance evaluation of making units (DMU’s) utilizing a surrogate measure of performance in the 0-1 range, for the efficiency of non-profit organizations. (e.g public schools)for which the measure of performance may or may not be quantifiable. A population of DMU’s (school) in Kashan county, Iran, is the subject of our study. They are grouped by their differentiating factors and then an inter-group and an intra-group analysis of their performances is made, using the DEA methodology developed in this paper. A summary of the evaluations and performances as a conclusion is presented.
