Dimensions and layers of social services from the perspective and life story of the infallibles (PBUH)
The Holy Qur’an and the narrations received from the Infallibles (PBUH) have advised us to follow the example of God’s Messenger (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS)- (Infallible Imams). The study of the saint’s life shows that the life of those God’s saints in different dimensions can be a superior model and also have wider profits and interests. One of the dimensions of Sira (life story of the infallibles (PBUH)) was the attention of the Infallibles (PBUH) to provide various and numerous social services at different levels and layers of society. In those nobles’ life, there is both advice to do good and beneficial deeds for the public and practical concern for it. This article seeks to answer the question of how the God’s messenger (PBUH) and his family acted regarding the need of the Islamic society for social services and what are their recommendations? Studies show that in the Infallibles’ Sira at different levels and social layers, the following items have been given practical attention and serious advice: helping to solve the needs and problems of the needy, Paying attention to the problems and needs of the community, Correcting relationships and removing impurity, Paying attention to the needs of elite in order to spread the culture of service in the community, Observance of generous help and advice to co-operation, Paying attention to the needs of relatives, Building mosques, Attention to the families of prisoners and the release of slaves.
