A Comparative Comparison of the Prophet’s Propaganda Methods in Inviting to Islam With Muawiya’s propaganda policies in Sham
The efforts of God’s Messenger (PBUH) in the short period of his mission, had wide effects and in some cases, profound effects on the Islamic society. And soon, this heavenly message, prevailed upon two great empire’s realms of the age. Islamic society grew in all dimensions and distanced itself from the ignorant society. During the Ottoman period, the Umayyad branch of the Quraysh, who were the most stubborn enemies of the Prophet (PBUH) and had lined up against him until the last opportunity, gained political power. The rule of the Islamic society fell to a clever and intelligent person from this tribe. With the expansion of Muawiya’s propaganda activities, some of the achievements of the Islamic Ummah were lost and the values of the pre-Islamic period, which had faded with the tireless efforts of the Prophet (PBUH), were highlighted and overcome. This article seeks to answer the basic question of what were the Prophet’s methods of propaganda in the development of Islamic culture and the growth of the Islamic Ummah, and what method did Muawiya use in propagating Islam by Umayyad’s recitation, and what were their achievements? After three decades of the demise of the Prophet (PBUH) and the rule of Muawiya, the caliphate became a monarchy by Muawiya, and his propaganda methods in the guise of religious using special individuals, wealth, political power, and the use of people’s ignorance especially the sham, established the Umayyad rule. so, He tried and interpreted the social and divine goals of Islam in the interests of the Umayyad government.
