Abstracts of Mīrāth Shahāb
The ancient Bahrain region and the contribution of Imami scholars there in Shia culture can be subject to academic discussions based on manuscripts and the surviving works of the region’s scholars. Fortunately, a significant number of works by these scholars have been published; however, they have received less attention. In the present article, there is a detailed discussion about one of the 13th century Qatifi scholar named Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Arafat Qadihi based on his book Al-Kashkul. Sheikh Ibrahim spent an important part of his life in Mashhad and the cities of Khorasan. Apart from being an important source for his biography, his book Al-Kashkul contains anthropological points and sometimes unique information about some literary flows in the 13th century Najaf. The rest of the article includes some points based on manuscripts written by the ancient Bahrain scholars and an attempt has been made to show their contribution to the writing and transmission of the Imami written heritage.
