The Effect of Strategic change on Organizational performance; Considering the mediating role of organizational learning and moderating effect of environmental dynamism.
The competitive environment in the banking industry makes it necessary for all the banks to identify factors for better performance. Therefore the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among strategic change, organizational learning and environmental dynamism and their effects on organizational performance of Mellat bank in Mashhad by considering the mediating role of organizational learning and moderating effect of environmental dynamism. The population of this study consists of both directors and vice directors of all the branches and management staff of the central office of Mellat bank in Mashhad. The minimum sample size is 118, which was determined according to Krejcie and Morgan’s table. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts in the faculty of management and the reliability of the instrument was confirmed based on both Cronbach's alpha and Composite reliability. The findings reveal that strategic change has a significant effect on both organizational learning and organizational performance, additionally, the results show the relationship between organizational learning and organizational performance is significant and organizational learning partially mediates the relationship between strategic change and firm performance. Finally, The effect of environmental dynamism on both strategic change and organizational performance is significant and the moderating effect of environmental dynamism is not supported.
