Investigation and analysis of the relationship between image and text in religious imagery

Abstract:

 Illustration is an art that has employed many artists from the past until now to present different topics to the audience in an easier way. Religious imagery has influenced various fields of religion, philosophy, science and politics, and the purpose of this research is the relationship between text and image in religious imagery.In this research, examples of studies of religious depictions are mentioned and an attempt is made to examine the relationship between the image and the text in religious depictions. This applied research has been carried out using a descriptive analytical method and a library method.The results of the research showed that in religious imagery, the images must be in accordance with the religious principles and not have any contradictions with them, so as not to harm the religious principles. Also, respect for religious matters should be taken into consideration. By using the symbols in religion and culture, suitable works can be presented in this field. The presented images must have visual appeal to create interest in the audience.
