Investigating the Effect of Urban Space on Citizens' Social Behaviors (Case Study: Imam Street- Urmia)
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of urban spaces on citizens' behavioral patterns in Imam Street in Urmia. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive-analytical nature. The materials used in this study have been collected in two forms: documentary and field. Data collection tools include observation, questionnaires, interviews, and receipts. The sample size of this study is the users of Imam Street and according to the Cochran's formula for the unknown statistical population, the numerical value of 170 has been obtained. In this study, the sampling method was random. The analysis of collected information is done in two ways: quantitative (statistical methods (descriptive and inferential)) and qualitative (results of statistical studies). The variables of this research include the independent physical, social and ecological variables and the behavioral patterns variable as a dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that according to the results of Friedman test and evaluations of the components of appearance and urban landscape in this area, the social component with an average of 4.77 in the first place and the component of behavioral patterns with an average of 3.96 in the fourth place. According to the results of Pearson correlation test, there is a significant correlation between urban landscape components and citizens' behavioral patterns. According to the results of stepwise multiple regression analysis, the correlation coefficients are 0.61, 0.63 and 0.59, respectively.
