Develop a model of marital adjustment based on psychological security, personality traits and attachment styles mediated by sexual satisfaction in women and men.

Marital adjustment is the main structure of every family and as a social-emotional unit, the place of growth, development and change; Therefore, the effect of family on psychological, emotional and social balance cannot be ignored. The present study was conducted by developing a marital adjustment model based on psychological security, personality traits and attachment styles mediated by sexual satisfaction in men and women.

The present study was applied and descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of all married men and women in District 8 of Tehran (25-45 years old) in 2016-2017, which were surveyed using the available sampling method of 600 people. Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) (1976), Maslow's Psychosocial Security (2004), NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) (1985), Revised Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) (1990), Larson Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998) used.

AMOS software version 24 was used to analyze the data. The regression coefficients of the model indicate that the mentioned variables well explain the relationship between marital adjustment based on psychological security, personality traits and attachment styles mediated by sexual satisfaction in men and women. Has an acceptable condition (GFI = 0.897).

According to the results, the most important effects of marital adjustment on mental security are sexual satisfaction, personality traits, and attachment styles. Therefore, it is suggested to use the results of this study to help marital adjustment between men and women.
