Abstract:

Addiction issue with the environmental crisis, the nuclear and population crisis is one of four critical stages of the present century. Some personality traits and characteristics can lead and persuade someone to addiction for instance, if someone is extremely shy and bashful that he has sense of relief and social by using drug, it is possible for him/ her to use it again and go back to addiction.
This study tries to compare social adaptation among addicts and non- addicts in Ilam city which was done by Casual- comparative method. The population of this study in clouded all male consumer and non- consumer drug between the ages of 18- 35 years that 100 people of them were selected by sampling method. The Data collection was based on Wiseman and Pickel social adjustment scale.
It was used MANOVA multivariate analysis of variance to investigate the hypothesis. The results show that social adjustment variable and its septet dimensions between addicts and non- addicts has significant difference in the level of (P<./01). According to this study, it can be said that social adaptation of addicts is higher than non- addict's.
