Representation of Iranian Landscape Tourist’ Moods on Instagram Social Network

The issue of self-awareness is inextricably linked to social interactions. Aside from the knowledge of each person's presence and the inner knowledge of each community of themselves, this knowledge inevitably changes in social interactions. One of the sources of historical self-knowledge is the analysis of foreign tourist travelogues in Iran. Our goal in this study is not only to analyze these travelogues and extract the moods of Iranian tourists, but also to realize the representations of these creations on the Instagram social network. For this purpose, we reviewed the travelogues of foreign tourists who traveled to Iran in the Safavid and Qajar eras to get a representation of the scenic tourist creations on Persian Instagram. In this research, we have acted in two steps using theme analysis method. First, by studying 57 travelogues of the Qajar and Safavid eras, 85 propositions related to the temperaments of Iranians were obtained. In the following, we reached 82 hashtags on Instagram and reviewed a total of 1640 posts related to these hashtags until we reached theoretical saturation. At this stage, it became clear how the current representation of these creations has changed compared to the Qajar and Safavid eras. Of the 82 hashtags surveyed on Persian Instagram, 62% had full representations, 14.6% had reverse representations, 5% had incomplete representations, and finally 19% had no representations on Persian Instagram.
