Abstract:
Background and Aim

In recent decades, evaluating and selecting the best supplier has become one of the most important issues for companies. For this purpose, weighting and ranking techniques have found wide applications to solve supplier selection problems. The main purpose of this study is to identify the pure effective criteria in evaluating the performance of suppliers, their weighting and ranking of suppliers of Saipa Company with combination of fuzzy Delphi, Swara and evaluation of additive ratio (ARAS).

Method

The method of the present study is applied based on the purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. In order to achieve these goals, key performance criteria were first extracted by a comprehensive review of the literature and background. In the stage, by using the fuzzy Delphi technique and due to the limited size of the community and using the opinions of all experts and managers of the company with population of 30, the effectiveness of these criteria in Saipa Company was evaluated and all criteria were approved. Then, using Swara weighting technique and using the opinions of 30 elite people, the criteria were evaluated and their weight (importance and priority) were extracted.

Results

The result showed that the second criterion "elimination of waste" with the highest weight as the most important pure criterion, and the fourth criterion (repeated inspection of materials), the first (supplier cooperation), the third (quality assurance) and the fifth (supply of materials according to industry requirement) are the next priorities in terms of importance in evaluating the performance of pure suppliers. Finally, considering the sensitivity of the ranking of pure suppliers in the company, using Aras decision-making technique and based on the weight of extracted criteria, six suppliers of the company were evaluated by experts and the final ranking of suppliers in terms of performance was determined.

Conclusion

Thus, the proposed approach of this study will help company managers in improving the status of pure suppliers and selecting the best supplier for greater productivity.
