Analyzing the concept of Baqiyyatallah (residue of God) and applying it to the Imam Mhadi(as)
The verse "بقیه الله خیر لکم ان کنتم مومنین" has been interpreted in several ways: religious benefit or lawful blessings and sustenance, following God's commands and advice, divine interest and reward, God's mercy and care, pure nature and soul. Faith, and piety resulting from following the divine commands, a lawful day in this world and a reward in the Hereafter, divine commands and duties, and every creature of divine benefit. According to the last interpretation, the prophets and divine testators will be one of the examples of Baqiyyatallah (residue of God), and the Imams have used this description about themselves, especially about the Imam Mahdi. This research, with the method of library collection and content analysis, seeks to provide a correct analysis to apply this verse to Imam Mahdi; In particular, it is stated in the narrations that at the time of his reappearance, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be called by this title. The last remaining guide, the source of divine mercy, and the divine Promise, are the three analyzes that can be presented in relation to the use of the title of Baqiyyatallah (residue of God) about the Imam Mahdi.
