Abstract:
The uprising of Zayd bin Ali has been considered by scholars for a long time and various reasons and motives have been considered for this uprising. This movement was carried out with the ideal of reform by carrying out enjoining the right and forbiding the wrong, and by inviting to the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), the bloodlust of Imam Hussein (AS), helping the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and forming a government. In political science and sociology, "advocating a policy of changing socio-economic or political life in gentle, unhurried ways" is called "reform." Zayd ibn Ali's method of reform is different from today's new and conventional concept of reform. In this study, after the semantics of terms such as revolution, uprising, revolt, the concept of reform in the uprising of Zayd ibn Ali in the framework of the Islamic doctrine of enjoining the right and forbiding the wrong has been explained, because the purpose of this doctrine is ultimately reforming human society in the framework of the islamic teachings. And Zayd ibn Ali had declared his motive and goal as a famous commandment and not a denial
