Evaluation of the effectiveness of emotion management training on job stress of emergency workers in Tehran

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of emotion management training on the job stress in emergency care workers. Method

The present study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest and posttest design with a control group. The statistical population was all emergency medical technicians working in the emergency center of Tehran in 1399. By available sampling method, 30 people were selected and replaced in two experimental groups (15 people) and control group (15 people). "Thomson Gross Emotion Management" training was performed on the experimental group, and "Hospital Job Stress Questionnaire (HSS 35)" was used on both experimental and control groups before and after the experiment for research work. Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. The normal distribution of data, homogeneity of variance and linear relationship between variables were examined.

The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean post-test of the experimental and control groups.

The results showed that emotion management training has been effective on the job performance of Tehran emergency workers.
