 The main and fundamental purpose of this research is to investigate the role of mass media on security at the community level. The findings of this research show that some mass media are in line with security at the community level and some of these media are in opposition to security in the community environment. Security in the broadest sense is an important and complex category that is viewed with double sensitivity in today's societies; In other words, security is the main basis of social, economic and cultural progress and development at the community level. The media is related to the category of security from two angles, on the one hand, the level of activity and enlightenment of the media is affected by the level of security at the level of society, and on the other hand, the enlightenment of the media can be used as a tool and a social control. be effective in improving the level of security at the community level.

 This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. In this research, it was used to answer the questions through the collection of information with the library method and by using the sources, as well as using news sites and specialized articles.

Findings and results of the research: 

The findings of the research indicate that the media in different forms and types of means and methods of content transmission can provide a two-way role in the field of security and feeling of security, on the one hand, it can increase the level of feeling of security in a safe society. , has greatly influenced with its products and on the other hand, it can instill a sense of security in the insecure society to the citizens. What is evident is the undeniable role of mass media on security at the level of society, and the necessity of accompanying and matching media functions with the components and propositions affecting public security is strongly felt.
